The History of Flugtag

"Flugtag", created by Red Bull, brings our catchphrase 'Red Bull Gives You Wings!' to life - literally! Pronounced "Floog-tag", it translates as "flying day". The first ever Red Bull Flugtag took place in Austria back in 1992. Today, Flugtag has spread its wings across the world, taking off in over 20 cities including Berlin, Barcelona, Johannesburg, Vienna, San Francisco, Milan, Prague, Tempe, and Galway, just to name a few.

A uniquely loony competition, Red Bull Flugtag, involves manpowered flying machines and crazy pilots attempting to launch themselves off a 6m high ramp and into the water below!

Judged on the distance of your flight, the creativity of your machine and your pre-flight performance - the Red Bull Flugtag is most definitely the dream competition for crazy showmen with a desire to take to the skies in a very unique way! Dear pilot, the 29th June 2007 has arrived and if your wish was to become the new king of the air...the time is over!

If you already sent the project of your flying machine, on 23rd July don't forget to control in the section "I Team" if your name appears in the selected list.
